There was a time when almost every small shop in my hometown had shutters made of wooden planks. They would number them 1, 2, 3, etc., or they would write their shop name on the planks so that they don’t mess up the order. But over time, weather plays mischief and these planks start losing their alignment forcing the shopkeepers to rearrange them to get a somewhat perfect fit. Sadly most of these shops have disappeared.
