066 - my babies

Your father will curse
and your mother will weep ..
They keep wondering when you will grow up
and get your act together ..
But your dreams are not theirs ..
So string up and take it on the road ..
Coz in time
even parents will understand ..

  1. Yeah…. Rock n’Roll ๐Ÿ™‚ I own only one but I’m not really able to play it. But I love the Blues anyway.
Yesterday I took some pictures as well to test a new old Minolta. Just scanning negatives now…

    • I will keep a watch for the post. ๐Ÿ™‚ I am lagging behind a lot here in WPress. I was hoping by this week at least, I’ll have lots of free time, but looks like it’ll be few more days before I can say I am finally relaxed! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I have a fender Squire from the 80’s made in Japan, with seymour duncan pickups . it looks identical to the fender road worn series from a few years ago. It was always my favorite live guitar . Up until digital recording it was my go to guitar. It is just way to noisy when close to a monitor . I learned to play on that guitar . I think I will post a picture after seeing those babies.

    • I am heading to your blog right after this comment! ๐Ÿ™‚ The second guitar from left in my photo is an 80s Squier. What a coincidence! But it’s made in Korea. That’s what the neck plate said. Not sure if the original owner changed it for whatever reason. The baby was in very bad shape when I got it. It was black originally. The frets were totally worn out. So I started collecting replacement parts. Now she has a Mighty Mite neck w/jumbo frets, Sperzel locking tuners, Wilkinson bridge, and Fender hot noiseless pups. And we painted it sort of a creamish white, but it now leans more towards the yellow side. The whole work was done by my friend and he had quite a difficult time getting it all fixed and working properly. ๐Ÿ™‚ This is my all-time fav guitar!

    • Thank you. I can’t take credit for the words though, but I’ve no clue who wrote them. I read it first in my friend’s ’80s Guitar Player magazine. He has a huge collection of these vintage mags. The words were so powerful and kinda hit me so hard that to date I remember them. ๐Ÿ™‚

Depends on the skill level too! I dabbled in guitars when I was young until I saw that I might be better at other stuff. Certainly annoyed my parents a lot then. My son is an accomplished guitar player though. As a parent I’m more than happy.

    Thanks d i l I i p, great photo!
